Spaghetti Carbonara

          Ini pulak spaghetti carbonara...

 
             Resipi ni aku amik dari www.godine.co.uk. Pendapat aku lah, kalo nak masak western food yang sedap, memang kena cari dari orang western jugak. Kalo tak rasa dia cam lain.. wah macam aku pernah makan kan yang orang western masak, maksud aku.. nampak lain dan seperti lain lah..hehehe..okay dah lets get serious :)

Ingredients:

  1. 225g / 8oz pancetta or smoked bacon ( ganti dengan daging lembu halal)
  2. 4 cloves garlic
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil (aku ada canola oil je, jadilah)
  4. 15g / ½ oz butter
  5. 4 tablespoons dry white wine (ganti dengan mild vinegar, dan aku hanya guna 1 sudu je, sebab tak suka masam)
  6. 3 eggs (aku guna 2 biji je, takut hanyir..hehehe)
  7. 80g / 2 ½ oz freshly grated parmesan or pecorino romano (or a mixture of the two) (kat rumah ada american cheese, so aku grated kan je)
  8. salt and pepper
  9. 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  10. 450g / 1 lb spaghetti
How to cook:

  • Cut the meat into thin strips. 
  • Peel and lightly crush the garlic cloves.
  • In a small frying pan put the oil, butter and garlic and fry over a medium heat. Remove the garlic when it turns deep gold, then add the meat to the pan and cook until it starts to crisp. 
  • Add the vinegar and let it bubble for a couple of minutes then turn off the heat.
  • Bring a large pan of water to the boil for the spaghetti. Salt it with 2 tablespoons salt to 5 litres of water approx. When the water boils again add the spaghetti.
  • In a large serving bowl break the three eggs. Beat them together with the grated cheese, freshly ground black pepper and the chopped parsley.
  • When the spaghetti is cooked, drain it, then immediately toss it in the serving bowl with the eggs, until all the spaghetti is well coated. The eggs will just cook enough in the heat from the hot pasta. 
  • Reheat the meat mixture briefly over a high heat, as you drain the pasta, then add to the egg coated spaghetti and toss again thoroughly. Serve immediately.  
           My truly comment, memang sedap provided makan terus masa panas tu. To those yang memang suka dengan western food will absolutely fall in love with this simple and easy recipe.
